Rachel began her career at Roland House as an assistant editor, and within only five months was promoted to editor. She consistently brings top ratings to series and specials. Rachel edited the Preview Episode of Bravo's The Real Housewives of New Jersey, making it the highest rated preview episode to date. She was also the finishing editor on the entire first season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, in addition to editing two webseries for The Real Housewives of New Jersey. She edited the 2-hour special Biblical Plagues, which aired not only domestically on the National Geographic Channel, but also internationally, and was the highest rated show of the day on Nat. Geo. in the U.K. Her promo work on NGC's DogTown helped make it their highest second season premiere ever with 4.3 million viewers. And, her campaign for NGC's The Girl With Eight Limbs helped the special reach 5.2 million viewers.
She just edited digital shorts for National Geographic Channel's series Locked Up Abroad, as well as various topicals. Additionally, Fresh TV and The Garden completed the promo graphic package Locked Up Abroad.
Rachel’s promo skills were recognized when Nat Geo’s 2008 UpFront Pop Culture won a Silver Mark Award in the Ad Sales Marketing category. She also helped National Geographic’s Inside 9-11 earn a 2006 PROMAX Silver for In-House Promotion, as well as a 2006 Silver Mark Award for Programming Tune-In: Campaign - Single Episode/Movie. And, she nabbed an International Monitor Award for her promo of PBS's American High. In addition, her editing contributions to PBS' Chefs 'A Field helped earn a 2010 James Beard Award for Best Television Show, On Location; a 2004 James Beard Award for Best National Cooking Series; and a 2007 Hugo Award Gold Plaque.
Rachel received her B.A. degree in Visual Media and Spanish from American University in Washington, DC, and attended FAMU Film Academy in Prague, Czech Republic, as well as the College for International Studies in Madrid, Spain.
